Description
Once I had moved into my new home, I noticed quite a few new neighbors, and this deer was my favorite among them. She enjoyed napping in the same spot every day, a bed of pine needles underneath some evergreens at the edge of my yard. I was careful not to disturb her, as the house had been empty for some years and she had been entitled to free reign of the yard until we arrived. I took this photo one day as she was awakening from her nap.
